About List of India

List of India publishes reference lists about the country. Each list names its source, usually a government ministry, the Census of India, ISRO or UNESCO, and shows the month it was last reviewed.

How lists are kept accurate

Entries are checked against official records. Where figures change over time, such as populations or office holders, the list states the date or census it uses. Where sources disagree, the list follows the government source and says so in a note.
